Fresh Fruit and Cheese Kabobs
Serving Size: Makes 16
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup Brennan’s Blue Cheese, crumbled
Or/ 1 15oz container Brennan’s Cherry Cheese Spread
Zest from 1 Navel Orange
1/3 cup finely chopped nuts
2 Navel Oranges, peeled and segmented
1 apple*, cored, cut into slices
½ cup grapes
The kids can help with this fun recipe. If you don't like Blue Cheese, roll Brennan's Cherry Cheese Spread in nuts for the same effect
In a bowl combine cream cheese, blue cheese and orange zest. Form into sixteen 1-inch balls and roll in chopped nuts. Chill 30 minutes until firm.
To serve: On a 6-inch wooden skewer arrange one cheese ball and an assortment of fruit.
*Sprinkle apples with lemon juice to prevent darkening
