Description
These delicious popovers are great alongside a salad or served with a holiday meal.
Preparation
Mix together the cream, eggs, flour, butter, salt, cayenne, and garlic powder. Add in the cheese and chives and mix together. Let the batter rest at room temperature for one hour.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Heat up your empty popover pan in the oven for about 3-4 minutes (If you don’t own a 6-cup popover pan, you can substitute a 12-cup nonstick muffin pan. Use only 10 of the cups, adding 1/2 teaspoon of oil to the bottom of each muffin cup before pouring in the batter. The baking temperature and time remain the same). Divide the batter evenly among the popover holes. Place the pan in the oven and cook for 15 minutes. Turn the oven down to 350 degrees F and cook for another 20 minutes.
