Cherry Cream Cheese Muffins

4 oz cream cheese
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
4 Tablespoons butter, melted
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup Fresh Door County sweetened red tart cherries, drained and halved
1 1/2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

A yummy treat for breakfast or any time of the day.

Preheat oven to 350F.

Beat cream cheese with lemon juice and flavorings until smooth. Add eggs and beat. Beat in milk and butter

Sift in flour, sugar, baking powder and soda and beat until well mixed.

Carefully fold in cherries. Spoon into greased and floured muffin pans, filling 3/4 full.

Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on the top of each muffin. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
