This week we’re keeping simple and tasting a range of red wines from around the world, including a sweet surprise or two.
Devils Island Pinot Noir (Australia)
This Pinot opens with aromas of almond cake and strawberries with flavors of dark cherries and fine tannins on the finish. Pair with pork, salmon or roast chicken
Roza Ridge Roadside Red (Washington State)
Deep ruby color. Baked berry, crème brulee, dried apricot and spice aromas follow through on a round, supple yet-fruity medium-to-full body with nice layers of clove, cinnamon, cedar and toffee notes. Finishes with a lively peppery spice dust fade. Pair with spicy Asian beef dishes, lamb and stews. |
