Sangria with Melon, Peaches & Cherries
Serving Size:Serves 6
1 1/2 cups mixed chopped fruit (honeydew, fresh peaches, pitted Bing or Rainier cherries)
1/3 cup sugar
1 750ml bottle Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
1/4 cup brandy
2 Tablespoons Triple sec, or other orange flavor liqueur
3/4 cup sparkling water or club soda
for garnish Fresh cherries with stem on
for garnish mint sprigs
Great on hot summer night with some appetizers and good friends.
Toss the chopped fruit with sugar in pitcher. Just before serving, stir wine, brandy, Triple Sec, and sparkling water into pitcher.
Add ice cubes to 6 glasses. Fill the glasses with sangria, spooning some of the fruit into each glass. Garnish each drink with a cherry and sprig of mint.
